How To Find Us

Our shop is located in Abbey Hey in Gorton. We are within easy reach of Manchester, Stockport and Tameside and only minutes from the M60.

We are two miles (six minutes) from Junction 24 of the M60 (Denton exit).

We are four miles (nine minutes) from Junction 23 of the M60 (Ashton-Under-Lyne exit).

We are four and a half miles from Manchester city centre (just a few minutes drive from the Belle Vue Showcase Cinema).

You would reach us from Ashton Old Road, Openshaw (A635), turning into Capital Road, across the mini roundabout and you will find us on your right hand side after a few hundred yards on the junction.

From Hyde Road, Gorton (A57), you would turn into Chapman Street, take the first right after the traffic lights (at the "Handy Corner" shop) into Highmead Street (which becomes Abbey Hey Lane) and you will find us on your left hand side, a few hundred yards after the S-bend.

Satellite Navigation Instructions: Our shop location can be confusing to Sat Navs for some reason. If your navigation does not recognise our address properly, put in these details instead: 72 Sandown Street, Gorton, Manchester, M18 8SA. Park alongside the gable end of that house; it backs on to our shop.

Opening Times: We are open 10am - 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. (Closed Wednesday, Sunday and public holidays.)

SHOP PAYMENT METHODS: We no longer accept any kind of debit or credit card as payment at our shop counter. Our shop prices are simply too low for us to absorb the costs and payment delays associated with face-to-face card transactions. Our shop counter only accepts cash. (This does not apply to online transactions.)

We also accept € Euros, Russian Rubles and American Dollars in our shop. If you have any Euros, Dollars or Roubles (coins or notes) left over from your holiday, why not use them to pay (or part pay) us? We'll even give you a better rate than the bank, travel agent or Post Office! Yes, we also take Scottish and Northern Irish banknotes.
